Fried Rice

Do you have leftover rice in the fridge from dinner last night? Do you have a few vegetables in the fridge that will go bad, like, tomorrow if you don't use them up? Well look no further than this post right here that you are reading right now. This dish needs COLD rice, so if you are making fresh rice for this, just throw it on a sheet pan and stick it in the freezer until it gets cold.

You can also make this dish vegetarian or add chicken or steak! Whatever your little cooking heart desires. How cool is it that you can make this dish your own? Okay lets get to the recipe!

Ingredients:

2 cups of cooked, cold, white or brown rice

1 onion, small dice

1 Zucchini Squash, small dice

1 Carrot, peeled and small dice

A couple green onions, sliced

2-3 eggs, scrambled separately

Soy Sauce, which is really just a "to taste" kind of thing, start off with a Tablespoon or so and then taste and add more from there, it is extremely salty so you just have to be cautious of that

Some people add peas, so if you have some feel free to add a half cup or so

1 Tbsp of Sesame Oil

Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:

Disclaimer: You will need a large pan for this, so get the biggest one you have, or just make less, which I don't know how to do, so if you figure out how to make a meal not intended for 6 people, tell me how

First you want to cook your onion, squash and carrots in a skillet with your sesame oil, and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they are soft and cooked all the way through

Scramble the eggs separately, in another pan, and put to the side

combine the veggies and the scrambled eggs

then combine the cooked, cold rice to that pan and stir it up! ( sorry I don't know how to write recipes professionally )

Also this is where you would add your already cooked chicken, ham or steak. Whatever you want!

I made fresh rice and just put it on a sheet tray and into the freezer so it would get cold!

Now add your soy sauce, (1 Tblsp at a time, seriously, it can easily be ruined by too much soy sauce)

Finally, add your green onions and maybe some red pepper flakes?? I PUT THEM IN EVERYTHING SUE ME

who needs a filter when you have this beautiful natural light?

salt and pepper to taste, you will not need a lot because the soy sauce is already very salty

you can top it off with some hoisin sauce because that sauce is delicious or some Sriracha! Make this your own and enjoy the process!

Enjoy, Sans Filter

I added both Sriracha and Hoisin sauce!
