Sticky hoisin wings
Hello lovely cooks!
first, I want to say, thank you so much for coming to my blog and giving me a chance, I know it isn’t the best food blog you have ever seen but it is an ongoing project and I just want to say thank you to everyone who supports me. I hope to one day make a cookbook and this is a little look inside, the recipes that I really love!
Okay, let’s get to this wonderful recipe. This is honestly the first time that i made wings at home, in an oven and I can confidently say that this is something i will be making on the regular, it’s THAT easy. This is great for parties, and a really unique appetizer that people will love. Hoisin sauce is one of my favorite condiments and for me, there can never be too much. So if you are like me, you will just love these wings.
Okay, let us get to the recipe
yields: I made 8 drumsticks, for two people, i think if you had wings in there, it could make about a dozen or so
Ingredients:
about 3 pounds of chicken wings, or drumsticks, which is what i used because they were cheap at Aldi
salt and pepper to taste
for the marinade:
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp sesame oil
a few dashes of sriracha sauce if you so dare
optional garnishes:
chives, thinly sliced, ( i used to green onions, still good)
sesame seeds
lemon wedges
Directions:
preheat oven to 400 degrees
line a baking sheet with parchment paper and a rack, i didn’t use a rack, but i think i probably should have, to get an even bake and more crispiness all around!
dry off your wings thoroughly with a paper towel and salt and pepper them
stir together your marinade in a big bowl and dip your wings in and coat them and then transfer them to the baking sheet
bake for 45 minutes, I also put them in the broiler for a few minutes at the end to get that good crisp on the skin, bake until cooked through and crispy!
And that is it! squeeze some lemon juice on them if you wish and sprinkle on the other garnishes, and you just made some amazing wings!
Enjoy, Sans filter
